Divided between Trump and Biden, united on cannabis. This is the data on the American election day. While the challengers to the most coveted seat in America are announcing legal wars, the citizens of the states where the referendum for free marijuana was also scheduled have responded in the same way: yes to legalization. 4 other states have decided to legalize consumption for adult citizens: Arizona, Montana, New Jersey and South Dakota. The results are not yet definitive, but are broadly outlined, so as not to fear surprises.
In Arizona, with 98% of the ballots counted, the yes vote for legalization is at 59.85%; in Montana, at 56.59% (93% of the ballots counted); in New Jersey, the count is further behind (only 62% of the ballots counted) but the result is largely clear, with the yes vote at 66.94% of the votes; finally, in South Dakota , the yes vote for legalization wins with 53.41% (85% of the ballots counted).
That's not all. In Mississippi, they voted to legalize medical cannabis for the sick, and here too it was a plebiscite with a 74.1% yes vote. While in Oregon – where cannabis is already legalized – they voted for the complete decriminalization of the use of all drugs, including hard drugs: when 80% of the votes are counted, they win with 58.61%.
